MARC BREDIF CHINON

MARC BREDIF CHINON

Marc Brédif Chinon is a monovarietal Cabernet Franc from the AOC Chinon, in the Loire Valley, produced by Marc Brédif.

Marc Brédif is a beautiful winery excavated in slopes and founded in 1893 under the name of Chateau Les Roches. However, in 1919 Marc Brédif inherited it from his uncle and renamed it, giving it his own name. It is currently owned by the Baron Patrick Ladoucette, who bought it in 1980. Ladoucette has a number of different wineries, and all of them seek to maintain exceptional standards for their wines.

The vineyards for Marc Brédif Chinon stand mainly on gravel soils. The grapes are destemmed and vatted, then fermented for 15 days in contact with the skins and pumped over twice daily to extract colour and aromas. The wine is transferred to tanks to undergo malolactic fermentation, and ends up being aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.

Marc Brédif Chinon is a fruity and refined Cabernet Franc. A light, fresh and aromatically pleasant wine.
