WARRABILLA RIESLING
Riesling has long been the lone white wine on offer here at Warrabilla. For our winemakers Andrew and Amy this variety is a true favourite and the pair have been known to polish off the odd bottle or two in the name of research.
Given the right conditions in a growing season, North East Victoria can produce an absolutely first class example of this noble variety.
Tasting Note:
A classic Riesling nose with citrus blossom, lime leaf and the faintest flicker of exotic jasmine. The palate continues in similar fashion with crisp, zesty citrus lines, building to fleshy Meyer lemon and faint grapefruit bitters. Long and linear, with spicy acidity, and subtle wet stone/mineral mouthfeel through the finish. Can be enjoyed in its youth for those who prefer a fresher, acid driven style, or cellar for up to a decade to see classic lemon butter and toast characters develop.
